SELF-MAINTENANCE

YOU CAN DO IT BY YOURSELF

1. Check the degree of tyre wear and tear.

TYRE

Check the circumference of the tyre and the depth of the grooves. The "peaks" between the grooves are called slip signs, and if they are worn down to the point where they are parallel to the grooves as shown in the photo, it is time to replace them.

In need of replacement.①

As you can see in the photo, the slip signs (convexity) in the tire grooves and the depth of the tire surface are the same and the grooves are disappearing.

In need of replacement.②

Similarly, this one has a slip sign (a convex area) that has come up to the height of the tire's surface and needs to be replaced.

New condition.

Slip signs in the grooves of the tire are different from the height of the tire's surface, and deep grooves are present.

2. Check the engine oil.

ENGINE OIL

Pull out the gauge as shown in the image below and check if there is any engine oil on the "dots" above and below the gauge or between "E and F". If the oil is brownish and the amount of engine oil is less than half full, or if it has been driven more than 5,000 km since the last change, it is time to change the engine oil.

Fully replenished.

The engine oil is well-filled from point to point above and below the gauge (a metal bar that indicates the level of engine oil replenishment).

In need of immediate replenishment.

There is no engine oil between the dots on the gauge (no dark brown areas) and the engine oil needs to be refilled immediately.

Wipe off the oil.

The gauge is marked with a dot and a point as shown in the image. These marks are used to determine if the engine oil is full or empty.

3. Check tyre pressure

AIR PRESSURE

Check the correct tire pressure reading on the back of the gasoline inlet lid or on the driver's side door. You can also fill these up yourself by using the places marked "AIR" at gas stations around town.

AIR PRESSURE

Check the correct tire pressure reading on the back of the gasoline inlet lid or on the driver's side door. You can also fill these up yourself by using the places marked "AIR" at gas stations around town.

Check for proper air pressure.

A notation similar to the one shown in the image can be found on the back of the gasoline inlet lid or on the driver's side door. This indicates the correct tire pressure value.

Replenish the air pressure.

In addition to the auto body shop, you can easily refill the air pressure yourself at gas stations around town or with a special pump.

Check with air pressure memory

Finally, check to see if the required air pressure is being replenished properly by looking at the numbers displayed in the memory.
